Rather than using free hosted email accounts such as Yahoo! and Google, there is a way in which you can not only achieve this but also secure your company domain name before someone else snaps it up.

To be taken seriously as a business, many business advisory services will advise you to at least have an email account that reflects your business name. This is achievable by securing your company domain name and hosting it on a server with email services available that can be configured in the email client of your choice and/or accessible on the Internet through any browser if you are away from your desk. A secure environment for those all important communications via email is set up on the server enabling you to send and read email, where ever you may be nationally or internationally, displaying your company email address without 3rd party advertising. Why advertise other people's products when you can advertise your own? Add a signature with full contact details just the way you want it to appear and add any extra information you want your customers to see regularly, without have to write it on each individual email you send out.

As well as a secure environment to store emails, you will also have anti spam software set up on your accounts to help limit the amount of non solicited emails that could save you time deleting or blocking before you have even made it to the first relevant email. This is not to say that all spam will be blocked, but it will go some way to reducing it by as much as 80%. On top of this a "catch all" or "postmaster" account that will remove emails that are not addressed to specific addressees on your domain, thus maintaining maximum space on your email server and further reduce unsolicited mail.
