How to start making money with Google Adsense

Google Adsense is considered as one of the most powerful tools in a website publisher’s arsenal. It enables you to monetise your web site easily and relatively quickly. If used properly, it can generate a large and healthy income for you. However if you are not using it correctly you are actually leaving a lot of money on the table. Something everyone hates doing.

You can start earning money with Google Adsense quite quickly and easily. You will be amazed at the results you will start getting in a very short period of time.

Start by writing some quality content articles which incorporate relevant keywords and key phrases. There are many people with the gift of being good with words and writing comes easy to them. Why not make it work for you in such a way that you will be earning some extra cash in the process.

There are actually three steps to put into place before you begin writing your articles and running an effective Google Adsense campaign.

First off, find some popular subjects or subjects that you are knowledgable about and the research the subject’s keywords or phrases. Select the keywords and phrases which you think are relevant and popular so that you have more people clicking through to your site. Using a keyword selector and suggestion tool may give you some ideas on what to write about and which keywords will get you noticed quicker.

Secondly, start writing original content with the keywords from the research that you have achieved in your searches. Take note that search engines are taking pride in the quality of their articles and what you will be writing about should keep up with their demands.

Finally, build a quality content website or weblog with Google Adsense ads that are targeting the subject and keywords of your articles and websites. This is where all that initial research will start to work for you as the adsense contextual element will pick up on your keywords and phrases and server relevant adverts to your readers, thus enticing them to click on them and find out more.

The proper positioning of your ads should be done with care. Try to position your ads where surfers are most likely to click on them. According to research, the one place that surfers look first when they visit a certain site is the top left. The reason behind this is not known. Maybe it is because some of the most useful search engine results are at the top of all other rankings. So visitors tend to look in that same place when browsing through other sites. Personally, I think this is to do with how you read a page of text, depending on what part of the world you are in – left to right or right to left. Incidentally, search engines read a page in columns from left to right and this is why you find links to pages within websites predominantly on the left.

Google Adsense has some excellent tracking statistics that allows webmasters and publishers to track their results across a number of sites on a site by site, page by page, or any other number of derivitives, including what search engines and websites are tracking their sites. You should be aware of this capability and make the most of it because it is a powerful tool that will help you find out which ads are performing best. This way, you can fine tune your Google Adsense campaign, focusing more on the ones being visited the most rather than those that are being ignored.

To really start making money with Adsense, you should have a definite focus on what you want to achieve and how you will go about achieving it. As with any other kind of business venture, time and patience will eventually pay dividends when you have found your market.

Do not just ignore your site and your Adsense once you have finished accomplishing your goal. Spare some time, even an hour, making adjustments to articles on your site to quickly trigger your Google Adsense income and best of all keep adding new and fresh content to stimulate new keywords as well a new visitors.
